The old games are total winners, so if you're a Nancy Drew newbie I definitely suggest trying those out first! The only reason I forced myself to finish this one is because I'm a big fan of the games. I can't stand how most things don't actually progress and trigger the next thing, you pretty much just have to guess what needs to be done next. It's just too much of an electrical engineering lesson and too LITTLE of actual detective work. In this game mostly I just found myself wandering around unsure what to do next, or racking my brain to try and understand how to make all these super high tech machines work properly. In earlier games, the interrogation actually has a point. Don't get me wrong, it's great that the games are evolving and shaping, but so often it's at the expense of a good storyline, a PROGRESSIVE mystery, and lots of sleuthing and sneaking around! Plus a lot of the talking in this game is useless. I'm a pretty hardcore Nancy Drew fan, but it's becoming less about sleuthing as the games progress and more about good graphics.
